Burgas Marathon Course

Burgas Marathon Course

Burgas Marathon Course – fast, scenic, and ready for records

When we first introduced the marathon distance to our program, we set ourselves an ambitious goal – for the Burgas Marathon course to meet world-class standards. We made it happen!

The course is now officially certified by World Athletics and AIMS, making it one of the few in Bulgaria to achieve international recognition from its very first edition.

Precision and Measurement

On July 20, 2025, the course was officially measured by Georgios Doussis, a WA/AIMS Grade A measurer.

Distances:

  • Marathon: 42,195.06 m

  • Half Marathon: 21,100.54 m

The measurement was carried out in full compliance with all World Athletics regulations.

GPX tracks for all distances are available for download here. They provide accurate information about the course and its key points.

Note: When importing the GPX files into certain applications, slight variations in elevation data may occur.
The actual positive elevation gain per loop is approximately +50 meters, which is then descended along the route.
